“I lived in the East Village and I always had these blow-out, crazy brunches. I quickly learned that there’s a formula for making people happy: warm muffins. They’re so easy and low maintenance. There’s something about a warm muffin with butter and jam. When I was courting men in my 20s I used to make them muffins so they could fall in love with me. Make your boyfriends muffins tonight and he’ll buy you a great piece of jewelry.”
