I came up with this smoothie while 6.5 months pregnant…while expecting or breastfeeding it’s great for mamas to pay extra close attention to their DHA levels for brain development of the babe, iron, gut health and protein. Of course lots of mainstream medicine recommends red meat and animal protein so this is a great alkaline plant-based alternative that uses mineral-rich spirulina and other plant-based supplements that won’t send your body into an acidic tizzy. Super satisfying, it tastes like a milkshake! And great for non-mamas too )

 

1 ripe banana (unfrozen)

2 ripe bananas (frozen)

2 pitted dates

1 tablespoon of Spirulina powder or granules

Contents of 1 capsule of Women’s Formula RenewLife Probiotic (or your favorite probiotic)

2 cups of Harmless Harvest Coconut Water (I recommend this brand because it’s raw and unpasteurized, if you can’t get this one then use plain water.) or almond milk

1 tablespoon raw almond butter

1 tablespoon of Udo’s DHA Blend Oil


Add all ingredients to high-speed blender. Blend until creamy and enjoy!
