DIFFERENT FROM ITS SISTER TOWNS ON THE EAST END, Sag Harbor has a unique positioning on the Sound that gives it a maritime flair and quaintness that hasn’t faded despite the growing outpour of urbanites over the years. Overlooking the harbor, it boasts some of the best restaurants, shops and our favorite Long Island juice bar (not to mention, the best iced coffee we’ve ever had.) If that’s not enough, with a quick ferry ride from town, you’re on Shelter Island, famous for Andre Balazs’ Cote D’Azur-inspired hotel Sunset Beach. But we’ll save that for another Wander Guide. For now, enjoy our favorite haunts in Sag Harbor.

The Juicy Naam – Inspired juices, peaceful vibe with a plentiful selection of health conscious goods, this spot is a must visit. We love the planetary themed juices with descriptive benefits individual to each one. (51 Division Street 631-725-3030)

Provisions – The best natural grocer out east, stock up on all your necessities for a healthy stay. Don’t miss their smoothie bar. (Corner of Bay and Division Streets 631-725-3636)

Tutto Il Giorno – With a beautiful setting, delicious Italian food and a location right on the harbor, when dining at Tutto you’ll forget you’re in New York. This spot is splurge worthy! (6 Bay Street 631-725-7009)

Pepalajefa – The most inventive gourmet to go shop we’ve seen. This French inspired take-out spot run by a Switzerland native is perfect for a grab and go lunch. (7 Main Street 631-899-4630)

The Dock House – For sure the freshest seafood around, this shack on the wharf is beyond delicious! If you love seafood, you can’t go wrong with anything on this menu. (1 Long Wharf 631-725-7555)

The Beacon – Incredibly fresh local dishes, with an outstanding view to boot! (8 W Water Street 631-725-7088)
